Win7 64 bits client - PC crashing when connecting remote device

Hi,

I successfully created a linux USB server. I'm now struggling with the Win 7 64 bits client. I see the server and I see the USB devices attached to it.

When I want to remotely use my Brother MFC-7340 printer, Win 7 detect it as a wierd device named 0x01e7. I tried to update the driver but Win 7 always said it's a Composite USB device. I tried to "force" to associate it to a Brother driver but Win 7 gave me a Blue Screen of Death...

I tried to use other devices available on the server but Win 7 always gave me a BSD... I tried to uninstall the drivers (as administrator) with vhui64 -y, reboot Win 7 and resinstall drivers with vhui64 -d but always the same... Win 7 crash when I want to use a device.

There is anybody that already faced this kind of crashing ?

Thanks

John

I have heard of this a few years ago. Do you have an AMD processor in your pc? If so you need to uninstall the USB 3.0 filter driver from windows Programs and Features.
