Problem with connecting webcam (A4 TECH USB2.0 PC Camera J)

Hi,
I installed VirtualHere on Windows 7 and love it. Thank you for making it.
But when you connect the web camera (A4 TECH USB2.0 PC Camera J), there are problems.
Could not tell what the matter is.

OK that device looks like it disconnects itself automatically just before its captured so i dont think it will be compatible with the virtualhere windows server. You need to use the virtualhere linux server which better handles unusual devices like this one. I think this webcam needs to have its "USB_RESET" command skipped and the virtualhere windows server doesnt support this whereas the linux server does.

#4

VirtualHere USB Server for Linux (MIPSEL) on OpenWRT is also not working (not found where the log). When connecting directly to the Windows 7 - video is, but through VirtualHere USB Server for Linux the camera is visible connected but video not working

#5

put the resolution of the video way down to e.g 160x120 and see if it works then

#6

The camera has a minimum resolution of 640x480 Found it. Does not help. Direct connection - the video is, and on the network. Windows sees the camera, but no video. (But the camera led lights up the beginning of the video transmission)

#7

ok can you try to use the camera via virtualhere and then ssh to your openwrt box and type logread and send all of the log output to mail [at] virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com)
