USB sound card issue on Android server + macOS client

Hi,

Yesterday I finally started trying VirtualHere and my mind was blown.
I managed to get a thumb drive working with the following setup:

Server: Android 5.1.1 (Sony TV)
Client: macOS 10.12 Sierra beta 8 (16A313a)

The transfer speed was steady, around 6MB/s.

However my USB sound card did not work. It was successfully discovered in the VirtualHere client but did not appear in audio devices in system preferences.
Is there anything I can do to get these working?

Hi, actually virtualhere is not compatible with 10.12 sierra, apple has removed support for 3rd party usb controllers for the time being, so actually im surprised it works at all, i recommend not using virtualhere in 10.12 until its officially supported, unfortunately no ETA on that as im waiting for apple...

Hi Michael. I assume this is solved with the macOS 10.12.1 update?

I dont think so, although osx is supported again by virtualhere in 10.12.1, isochronous devices probably arent going to work as they never have in osx. osx is too picky about timing and therefore too latency sensitive with stream data transfers using isochronous mode

This morning I tried again with the same combination (android server + macos client).
To my surprise, the audio card was recognized by mac. It actually could be selected as the primary audio device.
Unfortunately it didn't work properly. The audio was distorted. I guess it's the latency issue you talked about earlier.
Well at least I tried :)

OK thanks for letting me know. Actually if you can at least hear audio thats a good sign (even if its distorted). It means apple is fixing things.
