Audiolab MDAC and Audiolab MDAC+

I would like to use Virtualhere USB Server on an iMac to server an AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ and connect to it from Windows 10.

I've tried a Belkin USB Server and also a Silex DS-510 and both fail, USB flash drives work, but when I connect to the MDACs, it causes a BSOD! So there's clearly something wrong here, I mention this because If I connect to the AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ via virtualhere, I can connect, but Windows 10 complains of a driver error, it cannot start the driver ?

If I connect the AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ to Windows 10 PC, they work correctly, the drivers are installed and the USB device works.

This happens from all Windows 10 devices I have (and there are a few).

I have used https://www.eltima.com/products/usb-over-ethernet/ and this works perfectly using the Mac (as a usb server) and I can connect from Windows and these devices work correctly.

But $359.94 is a little too expensive for home usage.

I can only think there is something odd with the USB AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ USB devices, that don't work with Silex and Virtualhere, which Eltima, have resolved in their driver?

Any ideas ?

Thanks

What version of osx are you using as the server?

10.15.7

Thanks for the prompt reply, okay I've switched to other version, I used the universal version because I thought that was for 10.15+ etc

We getting somewhere, the device is now connected and in use, with both my Audiolab DACs, M-DAC and M-DAC+ but the sound is terrible!

Is this latency across the network ?

OK virtualhere is not going to work with that device.

If it doesn't work with VirtualHereServer.dmg, it isn't going to be fixed because because Apple is ending support for this method of USB redirection soon.

Only the Universal version of virtualhere OSX server is being worked on from now on. And this (at the moment) has limitations put in there by Apple that prevents sound cards (and Bluetooth) from being redirected. Hopefully apple adds support for sound again...

I was looking for a cheaper solution, but thanks again for prompt reply and help.
