Android client side

Hello,
I have take a look to your app and is pretty working. Now I would know if is possible to implement support to "usbip" client side for android. So I think is possible to remote control a camera through wireless

I own a Canon 5D Mark III and now I can control it wireless using the "EOS Utility" and "VirtualHere" for Windows client

My setup is as follows

Canon 5D Mark III with usb is connected to a Raspberry Pi and this is the server-side of usbip.
Raspberry Pi with a dongle wifi is connected through an adhoc connection with a Windows pc
Windows pc is client-side of usbip.

The camera is fully controllable as if it were locally connected to the windows device via usb (over ip)

Now, if it were possible to integrate support for usbip client side in Nexus 4 (android), we could use it to remote control (wireless).

Regards

Andrea

Hello Andrea

Iam interest to build something like your setup. Can you confirm that the live view is working? If yes, what resolution and frame rate do you see via eos utility ? Any drop frames or lost connections?

Regards
Nick

Hi Michael

I have setup VirtualHere on TP-Link MR3040 following http://www.instructables.com/id/Wireless-tethered-shooting-with-any-DSL…. I can access my camera using the Windows USB client (http://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbclient/vhui64.exe). However, when I start the VirtualHere USB Client (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.virtualhere.androidcl…) on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and hit the 'Start the USB client' button, nothing happens.

I see nothing in the 'System Messages'. Also, the first three menu items (Auto-Find Hubs, Specify Hubs and Unspecify Hubs) are disabled.

Any clues?

Thanks
