HTTPS - Unable to establish SSL Connection

Without SSL configured on my Client Server, when attempting to access HTTPS sites I get the following:

URL transformed to HTTPS due to an HSTS policy
--2018-02-22 06:11:10-- https://github.com/dwyl/english-words/raw/master/words.txt
Resolving github.com (github.com)... 192.30.253.113, 192.30.253.112
Connecting to github.com (github.com)|192.30.253.113|:443... connected.
GnuTLS: Error in the pull function.
Unable to establish SSL connection.

Do I need to configure SSL for this to work?
