Hi guys,
im currently testing VirtualHere to use my DVB-C Usb Tuner on my QNAP TS-251+.
Im using VirtualHere because it seems that the QNAP Usb passthrough is "badly" implemented and im getting stuttering and glitches and audio cracks when using it.
With VirtualHere it works very good so far. No glitches etc.
I installed the server from here
https://virtualhere.com/nas ( VirtualHere QPKG App )
The license said that i can use 1 device in the trial for free for 10 days.
In General i've read the license and it say that the Generic Builds for the USB Linux Servers are free to use for 1 device for an unlimited time and the Optimized Builds are only free for 10 days so i assume the NAS Version is an Optimized Build.
After digging through my NAS i found out that my NAS is using "vhusbdx86_64" which seems a Generic Build.
My QNAP TS-251+ uses an Intel Celeron Silvermont Processor for which there is a Optimized Build ( "vhusbdx86_64sm" ) but it seems its not using it.
Since my Nas seems to use a Generic Build shouldnt be the trial version for it unlimited?
Dont get me wrong, i like to pay for software i enjoy, but i really would like to know a difference between my NAS VirtualHere USB Server and the Generic Linux VirtualHere USB Server.
Kind Regards
.
When virtualhere runs on a NAS it has the 10 day trial only
Ah okay thanks.
Ah okay thanks.
I've comed to a point where the Windows Client crashes when trying to access my DVB device.
Is there a possibility to download older versions of VirtualHere? I always get the latest version when trying to download it from the website.
Kind Regards
.
Why would you want the older version of virtualhere? Older versions are not kept
