Hello everyone,
I accidentally set the subnet on my TP-Link MR3020 to 0.0.0.0 so that the server has become unreachable. My first idea was to reset the device to factory defaults. Unfortunately, the method mentioned here -> https://www.virtualhere.com/hardware does not work because the MR3020 does not have a reset switch. On the OEM firmware the device is resetted by pressing the WPS/Reset button for several seconds, instead. However, this seems not work for the CloudHub firmware.
Is my device now bricked? Any help is appreciated!
I am running version 3.6.1 with a purchased license.
Thanks
Matthias
.
Dont worry you cannot brick these devices. Actually i forgot , that device is different from the others (ill update my website). You need to do this:
1. Unplug the router so it has no power
2. Plug in an Ethernet cable from the MR3020 to your computer. In Windows bring up the Ethernet adapter IPv4 settings and change your computer IP address to
192.168.1.2
2555.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
3. Turn on the router , after the WPS/Reset button first comes on, hold the WPS/reset button until it starts flashing fast.
4 Now let go of the WPS/Reset Button
5. Use putty to open a new ssh connection to 192.168.1.1, use root to login and no password
6. type
firstboot
reboot
now its back to the original settings
Hello Michael,
Hello Michael,
Thank you very much! It worked instantly.
