VirtualHere USB Server sporadically disconnects device

Hi,

I have a problem with the VirtualHere USB server on windows sporadically disconnecting users from a mounted USB device.

If I look in the log, I see several entries like this:

11/05/18 11:07:53 LOG_ERR DiInstallDevice failed, (0xe0000203)

The device in question is a license dongle.

Thank you,

I think this is a hardware or power issue. The SURPRISE UNBOUND means that the device disconnected itself from the computer unrelated to anything to do with software.

Im wondering if the dongle is going to sleep on the server and when it attempting to be used via virtualhere is doesnt wake up correctly. Could you open Windows -> "Device Manager" on the server and then find the dongle and right click on it and select Properties see if there are "Power Events" tab and you will need to UNcheck "Allow Computer to turn off device to save power"

After a failure, a restart of the VirtualHere server is required, then the device can operate succesfully again.

There was no power management settings for that particular USB device, there however was power saving options for the hub where the device is connected. I have tried disabling the power saving features for the hub.
