Frequent connection losses

Hi there,

we are using VirtualHere for Windows, the server runs on Windows 2016 Hyper-V (configured to run as a service), the client runs on one of the guests that is configured as a RDS server.
The server publishes two USB license dongles. One works just fine, one seems to make problems. The user can start the corresponding program, but after approx. 2 mins he receives a message that the license server (that uses the dongle) cannot send further license confirmations, and the user has to close his session.

In the application log of the server I find events event ID 1, text: 'Server ping timeout, shutting down connection 100...' or 'Connection 89 remotely disconnected gracefully (rx)'. I wonder if this might be the cause for the license server's apparent loss of the license USB key.
The other key, btw, works just fine.

Any help in finding the root cause of the problem would be welcome

Are these dongles used on the same client inside the vm on the same machine as the server, or is the problematic dongle used on a client over the internet or wan?

Michael,
are used in the same RDS server. Both Hyper-V and Guest VM are on the same LAN, network access as such works (as I wrote, another license dongle works fine).
Are there any debug settings I could use to troubleshoot the problems?

There isnt any debug messages about this, "gracefully disconnect" means that the client closed the connection. What is the dongle? What brand/model? And in the client can you right click USB Hubs->System Messages and see what it says in there regarding errors.

Can't tell right now. The customer who uses the software depending on the dongle isn't in this week. The company producing the dongle seems to be http://www.matrixlock.de/
