I am using Android Virtualhere to share two USB devices with a Windows 10 PC. Everything works perfectly fine when I connect and share a USB keyboard and mouse. When I connect and share a USB mouse and audio adapter, the client fails to connect to the hub every time. It shows the 'connecting' message with an orange connection icon and fails to connect repeatedly.
I have tried restarting both client and server, and I reinstalled Virtualhere on the Android device. Is there anything else I can do to get the Virtualhere client to connect to a hub hosting a USB audio adapter?
Here is the audio adapter model: https://plugable.com/products/usb-audio/
Could it be possible that Virtualhere is not compatible with this particular audio adapter for some reason?
.
Yeah i dont think virtualhere is compatible with that particular adapter using android as the server. Im not sure why unfortunately...
As a workaround for this
As a workaround for this issue, I have been using an app that can share an Android mic over WiFi. An app called Wo Mic works to accomplish what I needed to do, which was to use a VOIP application (Discord) on a Virtualhere Windows 10 client while simultaneously using that client as a game streaming server to play games over an IP network. Wo Mic shares the Android device's mic as a virtual audio device on the Windows 10 streaming server, while Virtualhere shares the input devices connected to the Android device.
Compatible Audio Adapter List
Is there any way you can provide a list of USB audio adapters that are known to work with Virtualhere?
.
I dont have a list of all working/not working adapters but just search google for "VirtualHere" "audio adapter" and that might say what is not supported. You can also search this site at the top right.
