I have a Brother QL-1100 printer connected to my ASUSTOR 5002T NAS and the client installed on my iMac OSX 10.15.2
The issue I have is that in Printers & Scanners the QL-1100 is always showing offline in OSX so print jobs just sit in the queue and go nowhere. If I swap back to locally connected USB it immediately shows up as online.
However, I can use the Brother dedicated label printing software without any issue as that doesn't seem to care if the printer is online or not. Clearly the connectivity is there and the OSX Virtualhere client shows the printer as connected and in use by me.
I have tried with the client running as an app and as a service with the same result.
Any clues?

10.15 is not supported fully yet. However i am surprised that the brother software detects it ok when OSX doesnt show it working in the printer settings. 10.15 support will probably be coming in feb
