We're testing the software on our Hyper-V Server core 2019 environment.
The goal is to passtrough an USB-franking machine to its client which is running on a virtualized Windows server 2019.
It seems to be working but the connection crashes a lot of times during the day which results in an unresponsive franking machine.
I suppose it will be running fine if the client is running as a service too, but there seems to be no way to test it without buying a license first.
We're of course willing to pay for a key if it is runnning fine, but maybe it would be great if the testversion would run as full version for 10 days or something?
.
Connection crashes? You mean the virtualhere client crashes. Where is the server running? I didnt think it would run on core because it needs a gui
The client is showing in a
The client is showing in a popup that the specific connection crashed (i can write the full error if it's happening again).
The server is running on Windows Hyper-V Server 2019 (core) as a service.
It indeed is showing the gui when it's not running as a service.
But i found some error logs on the server like this -> {Device ... SURPRISE UNBOUND from connection 208} / {Failed to release claimed device USB\ROOT_HUB30\5&672006A&0&0,USB\VID_0D8F&PID_1008\6&187EFC84&0&3,3 while
uncapturing, Das Gerät erkennt den Befehl nicht. (0x00000016)} (Das Gerät erkennt den Befehl nicht. -> The device doesn't recognize the instruction.)
Anyway i will try it out on a Synology NAS if it's stable then.
.
I dont think the client shows a message when the connection drops, if you could let me know the message that would be good
I dont recommend running virtualhere server on Windows Core, use the Synology instead
.
The Error shows: "There was a error using this device."
Yes i will try it on the Synology.
