automatically unmount USB disk in OSX

Hi and thanks for the great software! Our company is slowly moving to apple silicon now. The old client on intel macs had a feature to automatically unmount USB disks in OSX when a user would stop using them. Would it be possible to get this back? Would be greatly appreciated as the USB disks stops working after a while when not properly ejected by users. (used for audio plugin authorization)

That was fast :)
Seem to work as expected accessing a local server.
(Had some issues with a couple of servers accessed by 4G but latency was fluctuating when testing. Still it worked 9/10 times)
Thanks a lot!

Hi!

Does this feature still work on Intel macs? I´m here on a MacPro Intel with Monterey (12.5.1) and VH is not ejecting the volume before disconnecting. On a M1 MacMini it works.

Am i missing something?

My setup is: Client 5.4.4 and Server 4.4.6

M1 silicon and intel are identical software. Is the MacOS version the same on both? It should work on both

Hi Michael,

now both OSVersions are 12.6.3. On M1 i can find an VH entry under MacOS Settings -> Privacy -> Files & Folders but not on the Intel MacPro.

I test on my MacMini M1 running MacOS 13 and i dont have any entry under MacOS Settings Files & Folders for the VirtualHere Client.  However it still correctly unmounts the disk before disconnecting the disk when Stop Using is selected. I think it might be some bug in MacOS for intel.  Wait and see if its ok in 13 for you. I dont have a Intel Mac to test with
