Virtual Here server and Client appear to be working but my 3D controller won't control anything remotely.

Hi.  Posting here mostly to try and rule out Virtual Here in the process of troubleshooting...

I have a 3DConnexion SpaceNavigator controller attached to a mac mini where the (licensed) Virtual Here server runs.  For the past few years I have successfully connected to a Windows machine where I use the controller in various applications.  Recently, for some unknown reason, I can no longer get this device to actually work in this remote scenario.

The Virtual Here connection seems to be good; I see the 3D controller listed in the client interface, Windows Device manager, and also in the 3D controller application software installed on the Windows machine (3DConnexion's xWare).  In fact, I can - from the client machine - I can turn off/on the LEDs on the 3D controller attached to the server, so that says to me all is good with the Virtual Here connection.

Additionally, the 3D controller works properly in local applications on the server machine, and another different 3D controller works properly locally at the client machine, so I believe the respective software and drivers for the 3D controller are working as they should - in so much as I can test that.  So that leads me to believe that there is something about the respective Operating Systems that has changed.

Unfortunately there have been a number of changes to both macOS and Windows 10 of late - some driven by Apple and Microsoft, and others by a new IT security/maintenance regime at work (the client machine in this case).

So, my question:
Is there a scenario where the Virtual Here server and client are connected and seemingly working, but one or the other Operating Systems can block access to a device?

Details:
macOS; currently Ventura 13.2.1 running Virtual Here Server is 4.5.2.
Virtual Here Client is 5.4.5 running Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2

Can you update the server to 4.5.4. Delete the old one and copy over the new one to Applications

Then try again, if it still fails can you paste in the server log here (In the virtualhere server click settings->View Server Log->Copy to clipboard)

Arghh.  it works now(!!)  I still have no idea why it stopped, or what has changed but it has resumed regularly scheduled service.

I know I updated to the latest version at both server and client, and updated and then regressed the 3D Connexion software.  Other than updating the Virtual Here server today, the only other change was removing the 64 bit version of Adobe Acrobat Pro on the client machine - it was giving me headaches with randomly disappearing elements of the window (Title menu bar).  It was replaced it with the 32 bit version.

Oh well.  Probably operator error.  :(

Thank you.
