I am current trying out the "free" version to test that it will work with a Stream Deck XL remote using the Raspberry Pi to connect to a OS X machine. When I first start up the client everything is great and things work as it should, but when I walk away from the computer for time I will wind up getting the following error on the OS X machine:

This pretty much happens all the time. Would like to see it work for a couple days when I am not actually working on the OS X machine (it acts as a "server" for various things and hoping to add the Stream Deck into the mix remotely). The machine is always logged in, but just headless and I Remote Desktop when needed.
Let me know if I can add anything else to help troubleshoot this.

I made a few changes which i think might fix this issue. Let me know if that resolves/or not fixes it. Thanks.

Sorry was away from home for several days, will get this downloaded and installed today and let you know results as it did tend to "crash" pretty quickly.

Nope, I got the same crash (ok I didn't look at the full stack trace, but looks high level the same).. This was only after about 30 minutes:
