Shield TV unable to access controller

Hello,

I had a search and read the FAQs but kept finding the opposite problem to this!

I have installed virtual here server on my NVidia Shield TV to share a USB device (not my xbox controller connected via a usb 8 bit do adapter). However the xbox controller no longer controls the shield even though there are no clients using it. How can I stop virtualhere taking over control of the 8bitdo adapter and therefore release the controller back to the system? I couldn't see anything in the options.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks :)

There can be two (confusing) popups when you plug in a USB device into a shield. These are generated by Android and not by VirtualHere.

The first popup says :

"Allow VirtualHere USB Server to Handle xxx device?" and a check box to always do this

Don't check that box, just select Yes (or no)

then another popup says"Open VirtualHere USB Server to handle xxx device?"

again don't check that box and select Yes (or no)

Seems like you might have already checked one or both of those boxes. Im not sure how to uncheck that box (the popup wont appear again) so just completely uninstall the VirtualHere app and install it again and then i think the popups will happen when you put the usb device back in. Then you can make sure to not check that box.

Thank you very much for coming back to me :) I unplugged all devices and then plugged them in one by one and made sure not to click yes to any of the ones I didn't want and that solved the issue.

Thanks :)
