Hi,
I use the VirtualHere Windows client with a Server 2022, console only. There is no manual interaction, all works automated via shell script (Powershell).
The server acesses a certain USB dongle using VH.
Trying out several options for client configuration and usage, I found it would be great if there was a Windows Console Client, analogous to the Linux client. I could not even get Help with -h, as this tries to open a GUI window. Not all commands can be rerouted with -r.
Furthermore, some things are only described with using the GUI, e.g. how to disconnect other clients.
Okay, call the client in admin mode with -a, but then? The FAQ says: "and then right click on the In-Use device and select Disconnect from User" But how can this be done only on the command line?
So I would really be happy with a client that has no windows, no icons, no menu, all input will be pipe commands, and all output will be on the command line. (Okay, -r will be fine).
What do you think about this?
.
No there is no console windows client and it wont be created.
You can however control the GUI client from the command line vhui64.exe -t "help"
