Plugging the controller directly into the Windows 11 client works. Windows picks it up and I can update the firmware.
Same cable plugged into a linux usb server and then enabled on the Windows 11 client shows the controller in device manager, with the same driver, doesn't sh ow up in joy.cpl nor the xbox accessories. This behavior was seen on Windows 10 as well.
Just wanted to report that.
Tried different USB cables, both machines are wired -- no wifi. Bonjour works as the client immediately picks up the linux host. If I pass a DS5 controller, that works and Windows picks it up. Just the xbox controller.
This is using the latest VH Client and the latest VH Server.

Yes i know, its been like that forever. For some reason the xbox controller doesnt want to work via virtualhere so you have to use the wireless dongle and use that via virtualhere instead.
