Hi, I'm trying to connect a USB client (vhui64) from a Zorin OS (Ubuntu 22.04) Linux machine to a Windows 11 Professional USB Server. The server runs fine and acknowledges the connection. The client window is displayed and the USB devices are shown. When I try to connect I though, get an error message:
2024-08-31 12:56:48 INFO :In file ../src/msw/treectrl.cpp at line 2228: 'TreeView_SortChildrenCB()' failed with error 0x00000000 (Erfolg.).

2024-08-31 12:56:55 INFO :SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces failed
"Zugriff verweigert" means "Access denied". "Erfolg" means "Success".
I know vhui64.exe is a windows executable, so I installed Wine and it runs fine until I try to connect to a USB device. I tried option -d and running with sudo, but to no avail.
The Linux is running as a virtual maching in a Hyper-V environment on the same Windows 11 machine the USB devices are connected to. BTW a Windows 11 client machine on the same Hyper-V works perfectly when connecting to a USB device.
I would have tried the console version on my Linux, but I need to buy a license first, which I wanted to do after the tests work out fine.
I Appreciate any insides (and possible solutions) to this problem.
Please find the server and client logs attached below, thanks.
Best Regards,
Ralph

No the virtualhere client for windows will not run in wine. This is because it uses windows drivers which are not possible in wine. Just use the normal linux GUI client instead.
