Webcam connects, but no data/output.

Hey there! Been trying to use VirtualHere with an android device (Samsung Galaxy S9 Unlocked) with a Nexigo N60 webcam and a Windows 11 PC, after getting the server licenced it saw the camera, however it never transfered data, and windows Camera was saying device unreachable.

I've found so far no pointers in the faqs or existing posts, which has me baffled at this early hour.

Can i have a look e.g via Rustdesk on the client while you are there sometime? If so send me the details/time. mail [at] virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com)

Hey there Michael! I've found an easier way to connect the web camera, as it's being used for Virtual Reality facial tracking. In the end I did get it working but at a sub-optimal framerate over 5GHz (80MHz, ch153 and the webcam feed was coming in at 5fps, instead of the camera's 30fps). I instead opted to get an active USB extension lead as it simplified a lot of things from my findings, more so with using the Babble face tracking software.

5fps, yes that is very slow :) It must be the latency of the wifi.

Thinking its more the device or the method of getting the data. Haven't tried using the webcam via OpenCamera yet though that would narrow down something. Should note, the phone is using the same network and AP as the Oculus Quest 2, which is using an airlink software, and latency is perfectly fine (<40ms) on the VR headset.

The reason is that software uses a protocol on top of USB so it can do buffering and smooth the video. USB cannot buffer so it needs to be done at a higher level in the protocol stack
