Hello!
I am using the VirtualHere Server on a Synology DS215+
I have the client Version 3.4.5 on a Windows 10 Laptop.
But I am not able to establish a connection :-(
I have tried "Auto-Find Hubs" and I have tried to specify the hub address...
It shows "Connecting to USB hub..." but never finds one.
Any idea what I can do to fix the problem?
Thank you!
Kai
VirtualHere client uses
VirtualHere client uses "Bonjour" to listen for the server on the network. If its on a LAN you should see the server appear in about 5 seconds. However you can just put the IP address of your synology server and the port 17570 directly into the client by right clicking USB Hubs->Specify Hubs and then add and putting <synology hostname or ip>:17570 and clicking OK and it should then appear
Hi Michael,
Hi Michael,
thank you for your answer, but that is exactly what I did... :-(
Any further ideas?
Thanks,
Kai
ok, i wasnt sure if you put
ok, i wasnt sure if you put the correct port in as its different for the synology than all the other devices.
Anyway, in the synology i put log all messages from the server into the synology "View Log" item in their DSM. If you take a look in the Package Center -> VirtualHere -> View Log post those messages here or email me at mail [at] virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com) and ill see what they say
Hello Michael,
Hello Michael,
thank you very much!!!! Now I read your post again and realized that I was using the wrong port because VirtualHere says: use the format "server.local:7575"!
Now it works! But my trial period is over :D oh, man...
Thanks!
Kai
