Paperspace Gaming VM & Virtualhere No Worky.

Running Virtualhere android server 3.6.6 with full license on Shield Android TV using Steam Link App for android (1.1.6) too access paperspace P5000 gaming vm with Virtualhere client version 4.5.3

Things I have tried are:
Setting public IP for paperspace should be enough but does not work.

Using IP address from paperspace windows network settings does not work.

Reverse clients does not work.

Applying all the usual workarounds simply has no effect.

My weekly trial of using Easyfind went flawlessly but would like to workout what manual configuration is needed so I do not need to use Easyfind as I simply can not afford another ten dollar monthly bill.

How I got virtualhere working with another cloud service is described at

https://community.liquidsky.tv/t/how-to-find-your-ip-address/356946

but can not reproduce in paperspace gaming vm. Every time skycomputer starts a new IPv4 address is assigned so manual configuration is needed every time skycomputer is started. Reverse clients is also needed to get virtualhere working in skycomputer using Liquidsky service.

Have noticed in paperspace network settings IP address stays the same but different node is usually assigned. I think paperspace VMs use this so that internal IP address stays the same with only node numbers changing.

I tried the # symbol like shown in paperspace vm windows desktop network settings show but virtualhere no likely.

What is the proper syntax for telling Virtualhere to use a specific node of any IP address when setting up reverse client in virtualhere server?

There is no such thing as a node of an ip address. An IP address is just a 32-bit number and a port. So paperspace might be using specific tcp or udp ports on the same ip address for different vm instances. That would be my guess.

You should try dynamic dns. there are a few free services that will map a dynamic ip to a fixed dns name. That way you dont need to put specific ips' directly into the virtualhere reverse client setting.

Basically virtualhere needs port 7575 open if the client is connecting to the server or 7573 if the server is connecting to the client via reverse

Thanks for helping me understand this better and the suggestions.

Was trying to set static IP for SATV which is running beta Oreo build and there are networking issues on SATV which are not helping. The issues seem related not using the IP address assigned by hub/router ISP and IPv6.

Would using static IP instead of dhcp help with and related to the dynamic and fixed DNS workaround suggested?

Both virtualhere ports are open for local machine.

Just can not get client too connect to hub at all.

So after trying to ping the IP address I thought specify hubs should need found external IP works much better!
Used online whatsmyip lookup site to get external IP address for SATV and specified that hub in client and everything is working.
