trouble with getting drive to remount after ejected from computer

so firstly thanks so much for the app, it works nicely. my only beef is for some reason perhaps of my own making, i cannot get it to reattach to the shield. in other usb redirection apps after ejected the storage or device returns to the host usb. i eject from my computer, and then exit the app on my shield and but it will not reattach itself until i restart the shield. is this normal behavior or am i missing something? thanks in advance!

I think its a bug in the sheild android. I dont know of any other redirection apps that work with the shield but basically android hands virtualhere the device for redirection and virtualhere hands it back to the shield when its finished. Android is meant to remount the drive. What happens if you you just replug it on the shield? It should remount then, i think thats the workaround

unplugging and replugging it works. is there a command to repoll usb hub? i will say this, since its my tv box, i turned off destroy data on app exit, that way i can switch between apps right where i left them. i wonder if the app is not exiting correctly?

No, android is really locked down regarding usb access. There is no way to access the usb hub driver like there is in normal linux so commands cannot be sent to the usb hub e.g to reenumerate the hub. I just think its a bug in android as it should already do this
