VirtualHere does not work with iPhone mirroring software !

Hi,

I use virtualhere to remote connect to an iPhone (IOS 10.1.1) from my MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, all work well while using Xcode and iTunes, but when I try to use mirroring software as QuickTime, or AirPlay servers (in USB mode) as reflector2 or appowersoft, that does not work at all, it seems the iPhone is not detected !

I suppose this issue is yet known ? Do you plan to fix it soon ? I there a workaround ?

My final objective is to be able to remote control the iPhone as it was in my hand, as Vysor software does it with Android phones, do you know if such software exists for iPhone ?

Thanks.

OK, its probably still a bug in osx which i have alterted apple to, anyway im going to look at 10.12.6 to see if i can find a workaround.

Hi Mickael,

I feel it is not a compatibility issue between IOS versions and OSX versions (i.e. I meet the same issue in OSX 10.12 with IOS 10..1.1, 10.3.2+), but instead that the remote usb connection through virtualhere is not considered by QuickTime or airplay servers in the same way that a local usb connection is, because when I connect my iPhone on a local usb port it works well !

For information, I noted also that a remote iPhone is not detected as a USB Phone in "System Preferences --> Network"

Thanks

No, apple has broken support for this at the moment so you will need to wait until its fixed by apple, no ETA at the moment...
