Logitech C922 webcam video stutters/jumps during Google Meet sessions

Hello,

I have been using VH for about 8 months and it works really well.  However, I do occasionally run into some issues.  This setup has been working for months but something has changed and it could be moving from the MS Store version to the direct download.  Anyway, my setup:

VMware Player 17 running Windows 11, VH client latest 5.5.4  (guest: 16GB Ram, 8 cores)

VH Server (from website, not MS Store), latest version 4.5.9

I have a dedicated ethernet connection on host only so it's just running the USBoE traffic.

Using VH, the video is a little jumpy, jarbled, etc.  but noticible to all.

If I switch the built-in VMware connection for the camera, it works perfectly in1080p.

I'm thinking this points back to the VH driver somehow since it works fine direct.  I'd just prefer to run everything through VH instead of switching it in multiple places.

Any suggestions?  Is there a difference with the version on the website versus the MS Store version?  Thanks for your consideration.

I may have answered my own problem.  I switched the MS Store version of VH and everything works perfectly again.  Interesting.  I'm still curious why this version would be different than the one on the website?

Yes that is interesting, the ms store version does work differently than this website version. Its a bit technical but when video is passed through I carefully count each frame, where as on this website version i cant do that. Ive heard that the ms store version does work better with audio/video from other customers too...

Hi Michael, are there any other differences between the store and website version of VH other than how audio/video streaming works?

Yes there are a few other minor differences
