Hello all,
I am having an issue with VirtualHere not working properly with a USB soundcard. I have confirmed that it works when plugged directly into the PC. All other USB devices work with VirtualHere except for this device.
Server: Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) Android TV
Client: Windows 10 PC
Device: Nobsound NS-10G USB Soundcard (recognized as USB2.0 Device)
3 Device License
When I plug it into the Nvidia Shield, I get the following message:
"VirtualHere USB Server
Allow VirtualHere USB Server to access USB2.0 Device? This app has not been granted record permission but could capture audio through this USB Device."
When I click OK, nothing happens. It does not show up on the VirtualHere Client list. I've restarted everything and it still doesn't work. I have also tried a Fiio E07K USB DAC and I get the same message. Do USB soundcards not work with VirtualHere? I am trying to get the client device to passthrough audio information to use for bass shakers connected in another room. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I forgot to mention that
I forgot to mention that everything is working off a wired gigabit Cat 6 connection.
.
Android i think blocks sound cards, and it depends on the version of android i think. Anyway if you need to get it working you could try a plain linux server but usually sound cards are too sensitive to latency to work well via virtualhere. Headphones are better and logitech ones usually work ok.
