Hi,
I use a Logitech 930e webcam, USB audio card and a Jabra Link 380 with Jabra Evolve 2 75 headset on a QNAP TS253be with 16GB Ram.
All devices work great except the Jabra Link 380 as I have the idea when something else is taking some CPU resources the audio begins to stutter/Cracking.
Audio and vide from the webcam are ok and also the USB soundcard. I use the device in a Hyper-V image.
Is there something I can do to have less stutter/cracking audio in the Virtual Here server setiings or client? Or things I can change on the QNAP like CPU priority?
Thanks in advance.
.
Yes that is a tough one, I think the thing you could try is to turn down the jabra audio quality (i.e record at a lower frequency). That will probably stop the crackling but the audio wont be as crystal clear unfortunately.

Hi,
I tested it also in a quickly created Windows USB server and I see that when the cracking/stuttering occures the latency is instead of 1ms/2ms going to 10/30ms.... in the logging graphic.
Are the some aditional commands I can use or give prio to a device? Anything I can use to test is welcome.
.
In windows you can bring up task manager, find the vhusbdwin64.exe program in the details tab and right click and set priority high
In linux you can use the
renice
command
