Hello all,
I’m using VirtualHere as follows. I’m gaming downstairs on my sofa and TV via Moonlight>Sunshine on the AppleTV. My Sunshine host is in my office upstairs. First I was connecting the Xbox Controller (v1708) via Bluetooth to the AppleTV but this gives me too much latency and oid behavior.
So now switching to the Xbox Wireless Dongle (genuine Microsoft, version 6HN-00003). I have my server close by so I wanted to use this as VirtualHere Server.
Proxmox host, USB pass through to a Windows 10 VM, VirtualHere Server connected to my game pc upstairs running Windows 11. After already some hickups in getting the pairing button to work (Proxmox issue, had to blacklist the device) it is working now and I can pair a controller. But I’m having problems pairing a second one. It looks (sometimes) that pairing is completed but sometimes they both keep blinking.
Is this a known issue or maybe a license limitation?
Other option could be to use…
Other option could be to use an old RPi2 instead of Win10 VM. Does it work correctly there? And what linux distro is best to use?
.
You cant run virtualhere server inside a VM, it wont pass through properly. Definitely give the pi2 a go. Just use raspberryos.
Thanks for the quick reply…
Thanks for the quick reply. So you confirm that with 1 adapter you can connect/pair multiple controllers? So you won’t need a paid license for this use case?
FYI, It is working fine for one controller.. but ye not for two or more since pairing proces isn’t working after the first one!
Going the RPi2 road now.

Yes you can pair multiple controllers, The licensing is only per physical usb device. Since you have just one dongle it will work in the trial version ok.
