USB ports freezing on Raspberry Pi

Hi there, hope you can help me.

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B v1.2

All new install, Debian core, rpi3 version of install 

I use VirtualHere on Debian, and that is all that is installed, and after time the USB ports seem to freeze and don’t release items.

A reboot fixes things but is not ideal.

Any ideas what might cause that?

Probably power supply

Yeah,

I am going to get a power USB and see.

Though, I've connected the device via USB Bluetooth now and that uses a lot less power so I suspect it will circumvent the power issue, but at the same time better to cable the device.

I also noticed the Wifi connection was a bit flaky so I have plugged in the RPi via network cable now (and disabled wifi) so it might have been that as well maybe.
