Run Virtualhere server on a VM

Hello guys, is it possible to run a virtualhere server on a vm?

I am thinking about creating a homelab using the minipc I was using as a virtualhere server. I still need virtualhere but I want to intall proxmox on the phisical pc where a windows vm could run the usb server. Is it possible?

If it is will the licence still work since the VM is running on the same hardware?

No, you cant run the server on the VM because virtualhere needs real access to the USB device not via a Hypervisor. Just get a pi or something like that to run virtualhere on instead.
