Virtual client connects on Mac, LightBurn sees it, but won't connect. On windows works with same server.

Hello,

I use a Raspberry Pi 4B with DietPi (versions available at 06.01.2024) to install VirtualHere server.  Works ok with VirtualHere client on Windows 10 pro, with LightBurn last version, Creality Falcon 2 22W laser last firmware. All ok, working.

I am trying to use the same VirtualHere server and laser machine on MacBook M2, Sonoma 14.2.1. VirttualHere client sees the USB virtual port, Lightburn sees the port, but in console of Lightburn I only get "Waiting for connection". I am sure that I selected the right port in LightBurn. Deleted and recreated the device. Device is not discoverable through LightBurn device discover feature.

I must mention that the same device is working properly if I connect it to MacBook with a physical USB cable.

I tried to run VirtualHere Client app with sudo for full rights. Same result. deleted and reinstalled client.

I would appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks for help!

PS: After switching from USB3 port on Raspberry to USB2, lightburn connects from macbook but gives me: "Target buffer size found".

Hi, can you try this

  1. open Terminal in MacOs
  2. Try to use the laser via virtualhere and let it fail
  3. In the Terminal type

sudo log show --last 2m > out.txt

4. Email me mail [at] virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com) the out.txt file

Im not sure of the problem but that log might help...
