Start minimized?? Getting rid of start up splash screen.

I can't get my head around the - g, start minimized argument.

I'm starting Virtualhere from an Automator bash script in OSX but when i use
../MacOS/VirtualHere -g
I can't then execute any further scripts, it just hangs.

I my mind it should start Virtualhere in the background without popping any windows, is that correct?

I'm not a code guy so am i missing something simple?
If i launch Virtual here just with the 'launch application' workflow the rest of my bash scripts run fine, but i get the pop up splash screen which i want hidden.
thanks
