Hello, I installed the virtualhere server on my main studio computer and I have setup easyfind on my laptop to be able to remotely use some plugins from home or on the road. The Waves licences are working fine from a regular usb stick but the ilok gives me the sharing error.
Is there an easy workaround for that?

Uninstall iLok software from the windows machine first. then reboot. Then it should work remotely. If not you will need a power cycling hub so that it can be replugged via software.

Thanks Michael, So I tried to uninstall pace licensing and after rebooting the computer the Easy Find string in the server has changed.
I also had to re-import the virtualhere license into the server.
the remote computer doesn't see the remote server at the moment.

I think perhaps you deleted the server config.ini file. Can you find that anywhere on your pc?
If you find the old file can you stop and exit the virtualhere server, move the config.ini file to the same directory as the virtualhere server and then start the virtualhere server again and it will use the original settings you had before the uninstall.
Power cycling hub
Hello Michael,
I received the Virtualhere power cycling hub and I cannot remotely power cycle ports to try to get my ilok working remotely.
I am getting an error message. Tried restarting the server but no luck. Hope you can help.

OK, it should be automatically installed but i do see an error during install on the server. Could you do this on the server:
vhfilter.exe --uninstall-filtervhfilter.exe --install-filterIs it ok now?

I tried to run vhfilter from the command prompt and I get an error from windows. This app can't run on you PC.

That should be fine. Could you start
cmd.exe"As Adminstrator" then run those vhfilter.exe commands.
Got the filters installed. thanks for that. I can now remotely manage the power of the hub.
I still get the error message that an Ilok cannot be shared across multiple operating systems...
Should I install the server on a seperate pc that does not have the pace licensing installed on it?
Right now the server is running on the main studio computer which uses the ilok by default and I cannot get the Ilok to work remotely on my laptop at home.
