Hello,
I had this issue previously where I couldn't connect to my USB Camera and had to revert back to a previous version. I'm again seeing this on the latest VirtualHere Windows release.
It will show it's connected initially, the disconnect. All other devices work just fine.
Is it possible to download previous versions of the client/server? I can't seem to find where to do this.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
Edit - below is the log from the server side:

This is the previous version https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/4.6.9/vhusbdwin64.exe
Also you could try this previous version https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/4.6.9/vhusbdwinw64.exe

Thanks for posting the older versions. I tried both files but I'm still having an issue with the USB webcam connecting, then disconnecting. I tried multiple reboots, as well as tried the older VH client version. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have a linux server available, if so give that try?

Sorry, just a Windows desktop and I run VMWare Player VM to another Windows machine. I am able to work around the problem for now using the built-in VMWare host redirect but it's not as stable as Virtualhere hence why I purchased the product. Is there a way for me to send debug logs or something that someone can look at to see if this is a VH bug and needs a fix? Thanks for your help.

Is it possible to plug the camera into another windows pc and test that as the virtualhere server?
Just for a test to see if vmware is conflicting with virtualhere redirecting the camera. Maybe virtualhere tries to redirect the camera but VMWare is intercepting that and resetting the camera part way though.
(When it says SURPRISE UNBOUND it means the camera is disconnecting itself and its not virtualhere doing it so there is no logging in virtualhere that i can do when that occurs)
.
I don't have another machine to test with unfortunately.
It's odd though as I've been using VirtualHere with this VMware setup for ~2 years without any major issues. Though, I did have this same issue happen maybe a few months ago and I just used an older version at the time which fixed it but reverting back the ones you listed above didn't solve it this time.
Is there a way to download all the old versions or just the one you posted? It also seems to be more on the client side than the server side if I recall correctly so perhaps I can try a few of the older clients. Thanks!

I have a C930e and a C920 and i tested these today with VMware and didnt have any trouble passing them through via virtualhere, so it might be just specific to your setup..

Thanks for testing. I'm curious which version / build of Windows are you running? I'm on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 for both my desktop (running VH server) and the VM (running VH client).

Win11 Enterprise 23H2 on my Dell laptop. Oddly it does show 23H2 even though everything is completely updated to the latest win11 version.

I was able to figure it out. You're right in that something was trying to take the redirect back. So I disabled the Logi Tune software on the desktop (VH server) and now it's able to connect in the VM. Thanks for sticking with me on this to help get it resolved. :)
