Is there a way to monitor the status of USB devices to identify users who are connected to a device but are not actively using it? If these users can be identified, the administrator can disconnect them to save resources. For instance, some USB dongles may be occupied for extended periods without actual use by the users connected to them, leading to wastage.

No there is no way to montior this. Some dongles are accessed every few seconds even if they are not in use by the program that uses the dongle. So it wouldnt work in a general case.

I implemented this feature in server 4.7.1 and 5.7.9 available now on this website. To see when a device was last accessed, right click on it and select Properties and it will have a description showing "Last accessed at..." at the bottom of the Properties window.
