Devices unable to connect from Windows Hub Server

I have a USB device that used to be able to connect remotely with Linux USB server, but now I have switched to a Windows USB server but it disconnects as soon as I connect. What is the reason for this? Is this USB device used in Windows?

Are you connecting to the windows server via Remote Desktop (RDP) ?. If so that will "hide" the dongle even though its connected.
