Hi there,
I hope someone can help me with connecting my Windows 11 VirtualHere client with Android server on an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. I keep getting the following message on the client:
INFO :Could not connect to 192.168.0.XX:7575
and this message on the server:
1091 E virtualhere-daemon: Opening local exception: Connection refused
W e.androidserve: Reducing the number of considered missed histogram windows from 112 to 100
It seems the the client and the server "finds" each other, but they are not connecting (I get "Connecting to USB server" for a couple of seconds before it dissapears).
I was able to connect the client to the server and purchase a license, but the next day the above mentioned problem started occuring. I have reinstalled both the client and the server, and even factory reset the Fire TV Stick, but no luck. Once I was able to find a connection between server and client, but this was to my Steam Link VirtualHere, and this was indicated. I used Revo Uninstaller to remove all trace of VirtualHere and started over, but to no avail.
I have followed advice on previous posts to open ports on the firewall (7575, 7574, 7573) which did not solve the problem. I also removed Bonjour and reinstalled through Itunes and it did not work. I tried specifying reverse connections which didn't help.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

That server message is ok, it might take a few seconds for the server to start and that error will disappear.
Anyway i assume that ip address is actually where the firestick tv is running and all this is in a LAN environment and not over the internet?
Hi Michael,Thanks for theā¦
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, the Fire TV Stick is on the same ethernet lan as the client PC
.
OK i tested and see whats happening, google is forcing me to update the virtualhere app all the time to the "latest API" which i did for version 4.7.0 of the android server to stay in the play store.
It appears now not to be compatible with side-loading on firestick. Amazon probably wants me to upload to their app store and recompile with their api.
Can you download 4.6.3 of the server instead for the firestick and that works https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/1077.apk
