I have USB3 Sharkoon HUB that has r8152.
I want to share the r8152 but i cannot. The client connect at it but the pc does not find new device in ubuntu. In windows all OK.

From dmesg i get "cannot enable. maybe usb cable bad"
In lsusb I do not see the device.
If I attach directly the usb hub to the linux machine it is recognized.
The problem is with linux client.
In windows it works fine.

OK, i dont think that device is going to work, im not sure what your server is? Is it a embedded board? My only suggestion is use the latest kernels you can on both server and client.

What I also found is that when I attach the device to linux for some seconds ~10 it appears as device in lsusb. Then disappears.
