Hi Michael,
For my first use, I would like to use an Extigy Sound Blaster card connected to my NAS Synology DS215j (DSM6) from my Windows 7 machine.
Situation:
- Server : VirtualHere Server 3.1.9 for NAS DS215j DSM6.
- Client : Windows 7.
- Device : sound card Extigy Sound Blaster
- VirtualHere Client GUI show the hub and the attached devices , ie Sound Blaster and the UPS.
- VirtualHere USB Root Hub and VirtualHere USB HostController drivers are presents.
-> But Windows itself does not see sound card attached to the NAS, ie the sound card driver is not installed...
Log :
16:05:41 INFO :VirtualHere Client 3.8.6 starting (Compiled: Dec 1 2016 15:26:06)

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks.

Ok, you right clicked on the soundcard and selected "Use"?
If so then take a look in "Device Manager" in windows, can you see the sound card there, does it have an exclamation mark next to it? If so, click on Properties and tell me the error code.

But there is not the sound card in the "Device Manager" in windows.

I have unistall (with drivers deleted) and reinstall (vhui64 -d) VH USB drivers, but it the same : The 2 VH drivers are present in USB Device Manager, but the sound card do not appear. :-(

OK, there might be some error on the server, can you do this open synology DSM in your webbrowser, go to package center, virtualhere . View Log, maximize that windows by dragging it with your mouse and then take a screenshot (oddly DSM does not let you copy and paste that text anywhere) then email me the screenshot to mail [at] virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com)

There is no error on the server, but...
I've stoped and started the VH server, and then, the usb devices did'nt re-appear server side (log) like VH client. So, I decided to reboot the NAS. Then, the USB devices appear in VH server (log) and client.
Then, in VH client, I right clicked on the soundcard and selected "Use".
Ooooh, windows start install usb device driver.... and then crash (blue screen and Dump memory) ! :-( In fact, I remember that it happened.
I restart windows, VH Client, and right click "use". The Sound Blaster card appear, but in USB device list, not in Audio device list. So, I can't use it.
I can reproduce this symptome (windows crash) starting VH client, using sound card, deleting the extigy driver in the USB device list, and then right click "Not Use" first and then right click "Use"....

OK, it sounds like the NAS is not passing through the sound card correctly. I dont think that sound card is going to work via virtualhere when connected to that nas. Since its showing a BSOD / and the USB device disappears, then thats a bug in the synology kernel. There is not much that can be done other than waiting for a DSM with an updated kernel.
