You might have forgot to say
You might have forgot to say yes to all the security dialogs that popup.
Go to "Add Remove Programs", uninstall the vhusbd and vhhcd drivers if they are there.
Reboot your machine.
Run the vhui.exe program again and say yes to any dialogs that popup. Reboot afterwards and it should work.
I have tested it on my win2003 box and it does work however it is a bit confusing all the security popups and it did require a reboot. Please try again and let me know how it goes.

Thomas i cannot send you the drivers separately as they are part of the client already. They are compiled inside it. what service pack are you running? You *must* run with the latest service pack as that will update the installed root certificates. Please note that you are using a very old windows which is no longer supported by microsoft and no service packs have been released for 3 years. I suggest you install virtualhere on something more modern.
Drivers fail
Hi I have the same problem under windows 7. Here is screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a08b7ho1lajm3j6/virtualhere_fail.png I try it under XP on wirtual machne but the same occurs. Can you help me?

I think it issue is you did not click yes to the the permission dialogs that appeared when you initially ran the virtualhere client.
To fix this issue:
1. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and uninstall all "Windows Driver Installer VirtualHere..." programs
2. Reboot your computer
3. Run virtualhere and share a device. It will then attempt to install the drivers.
4. Please observe the taskbar and it will flash a permission dialog. Click Yes to this.
5. ANOTHER permission dialog will appear after that that asks to run "VirtualHere USB Enumerator" please click Yes to this
It should work now.
Hi! Thanks a lot for such a
Hi! Thanks a lot for such a great software! It works perfectly with my sticker printer connected to HP ThinClient t5135 with lubuntu mini onboard, Windows7 x64 as a client.
Unfortunately, I discovered the same problem as described above with Windows Server 2003 (x32) drivers. I have tried to uninstall all VirtualHere software, rebooted, and run the program again. All the same, "Hub failed to open error 0x00000103" and I see VirtualHere USB Host Controller driver is ok in the device manager, but VirtualHere USB root hub status is "This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)". I thought I should try to repeat uninstall exactly as advised here, but now I can't even find any VirtualHere soft in "Add or Remove Programs". Manual driver uninstall in device manager doesn't solve the problem too.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Woodl, yes the virtualhere
Hi Woodl, yes the virtualhere drivers dont seem to work with win2003 for some reason. its a too old operating system so im focusing on windows xp, 7 and 8 compatibility at the moment. If i have spare time i will do further testing on 2003
Thank you for reply! I guess
Thank you for reply! I guess windows xp compatible driver should work with server2003, at least almost all drivers do... Would you please make windows XP and/or Server2003 USB root hub driver available for a separate download, so we can try to find out some workaround?
I tried installing
I tried installing virtualhere on windows 2003 server R2 x32 and it installed fine. What exact version of windows 2003 server do you have and ill test on that?
we've got windows server 2003
we've got windows server 2003 sp2 5.2.3790
...and it is 32 bit also

OK i installed Windows 2003
OK i installed Windows 2003 Server with SP2 (not R2) and I reproduced the problem. The issue is that, that version of windows does not support the signing certificate i use for signing the kernel mode drivers. Therefore it does not allow them to be used and causes a 103 error. VirtualHere will support Windows Server 2003 R2 as that uses the new certifcate method. So unfortunately windows 2003 Server will not work with VirtualHere only R2 will.
ok, I got it. Thanks for

Client for Windows 2003
For some reason I have to use Windows 2003. Where can I download a client for this version of the operating system?
Will it work on the latest version of the server running on Windows 7 64?
.
Sorry i dont want to support 2003 anymore because microsoft doesnt support it. You need at least win7 or 2008r2
It wont work because the authenticode certificates are no longer updated by microsoft in win2003 so anything signed in the last few years wont work. Aswell. virtualhere now uses some API's that were added since win2003
