Running as a service on XP

I am trying to run the client as a service on 32 bit WinXP. If I use the contextual menu option to Install as a Client, I get an error that the executable cannot be found. The path is shown as [][]|Program Files\VirtualHere\vhui32.exe Where [][] is two boxes and the real drive is C:.

I also tried installing the service manually, as in sc create... But, I can't seem to find the right way to enter the -i argument.

I also have one other related question. In another forum post, https://www.virtualhere.com/content/gui-vh-service you state that we can now connect to a locally running service with a GUI. How would I do that for a service running on XP? (I have client 3.9.8.0)

Thanks,

Richard

Sorry its "as is" for XP . XP/vista is too old and not supported by microsoft either. i notice it works ok as a gui i think you have to use that method rather than as a service. sorry about that.

No problem. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something obvious. The GUI is fine for my needs. Thanks.

Actually i did manage to fix this! download 4.0.1 and it will work ok installing the service. When it asks to run as an admin, uncheck protect files in the dialog that appears
