Logitech C910 webcam

Hi,

I tried forwarding a Logitech c910 webcam from a Windows 10 VirtualHere server to Windows 7 VirtualHere client.

On the client I see the camera appear under the Device Manager under USB Devices as a "Logitech USB Camera (HD Pro Webcam C910)" with a warning next to it saying "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" (Screenshot)

On the server I see the camera disappear from USB devices and it seems to be replaced by a "VirtualHere USB Server USB Driver".

The camera works when plugged directly into the client and the drivers are up-to-date (being sometime in 2012). Interestingly it appears in the Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers when plugged into the client.

Any suggestions on how to make this work?

Cheers,
Andrew

I think you might need a linux server . I have a C270 logitech webcam and it also refuses to work with the VirtualHere Windows USB server. If i switch to linux and use the virtualhere usb server for linux it works fine. I havent figured out the reason why ...

Thanks for the feedback, I was mostly just messing around to see what would work and what wouldn't. Not the end of the world at all.
