EasyFind not working

Hi Michael,

Easyfind isn't working for me. I need to use Easyfind because I don't have access to the router.
Do I understand it correctly that the two devices do not need to be in the same network?

You need to run the virtualhere client on the same network as the server initially.

So you can turn easyfind on by right clicking on the Server -> Properties->EasyFind (Enable)

THEN you can run the client on a remote machine and put in the easyfind address of the server.

This is a security feature, you need to turn easyfind on yourself first.

If you have done that and EasyFind still doesnt work then there may be a network problem then let me know and i will investigate

Here's what I did

1. Have two PCs on the same network

2. PC1 connects to PC2 and disable then enable Easyfind (since it was already enabled from before)

3. PC1 disconnects from the network and connects to 4g internet (phone sharing)

4. PC1 has the EasyFind adress but it is not finding the server

I dont understand why it's not working.

Also - in this case, it is the same computer that enabled EasyFind that also tries to connect remotely. But in normal case, it doesn't have to be the same computer that Enables and remotely connects, right?

OK your 4G provider might not be compatible with EasyFind unfortunately.

It all works now!

I am looking to replace my PC with your hardware solution.

I can do it by your hardware solution and choosing "Part of existing network" (internet wifi). Right?

I.e. it will be reachable via EasyFind across all internet.

Nevermind. Since EasyFind didnt work on 4g, this can be a future issue.

I will setup Virtual server and connect the hardware there via Easyfind

Then Ill just connect the clients to the virtual server via VPN

Thanks for great production!
