All used to work nicely, but now it stopped working. I am not sure what has changed. Only thing I can imagine is a Windows update.
My setup:
Virtualhere Server on RPi2 (vhusbdarm)
Virtualhere Client on Windows 10 (vhui64.exe)
Server seems to be running?
pi@retropie:~ $ ps -ef | grep vh
root 471 1 0 00:44 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/vhusbdarm -b -c /root/config.ini
pi 885 692 0 00:47 pts/0 00:00:00 grep --color=auto vh
Client opens and shows "connecting to USB hub" once in a while. But no connection is happening.
It used to work flawless. Rebooted a few times. Any thoughts?
.
OK, you will need to reinstall bonjour. Seems windows April 2018 update broke Apple Bonjour.
Steps:
1. Stop and exit the VirtualHere client
2. In Windows -> Apps and Features -> Uninstall Bonjour
3. Run the VirtualHere Client again and Bonjour will install
I had the same issue today
I had the same issue today with the server running on macOS and a Windows client. Re-installing Bonjour fixed it for me.
Too Soon - Not connecting anymore
I thought I had it fixed by re-installing Bonjour. However, after a restart of the Windows 10 VM caused by more updated, the issue is back.
Server: macOS Mojave 10.14.1 (VirtualBox Host)
Client: Windows 10 Pro 17134.407 (VirtualBox VM)
It looks like one of the most recent Windows updates killed it. I tried removing Bonjour, restarts, re-installing it via VirtualHere Client a couple times but no success so far.
Server Segmentation fault
Ok, turns out that the issue is the server dying on macOS.

Ok thanks, also can you email me the Virtualhere user reports in Finder->Applications->Utilities->Console
Same issue here on Windows
Same issue here on Windows with a Synology NAS as a server.
Was working perfectly and since the latest Windows update it's not responding when trying to attach a device :-(
.
Did you uninstall bonjour and let the client install bonjour again? I think the update broke bonjour again because i had to reinstall bonjour as well when my pc updated to windows 1903
