GL-MT300N-V2 newbie question

Never used the mango router before. Vacillating between installing it on my Synology and the GL-MT300N-V2. But i can see other uses for the router. My question is, when i update the firmware with the VirtualHere binary, do i lose router functionality?

Re-reading this, maybe I'm unclear. I'm using the trial version and would purchase virtualhere but I am trying to figure out the best hardware route. I saw the GL-MT300N-V2 which I don't have experience in but saw that it has other great uses like VPN. My question is if I install the firmware for Cloudhub, will I lose functionality like the VPN ?

Yes, cloudhub firmware overwrites the onboard VPN firmware
