VH works great on the Shield TV, but the "Allow to access" dialog pops up after every restart and without showing the name of the USB device. Is this expected bahavior or should the dialog be shown only once per USB device? Could it be that using a USB hub makes a difference?
.
I wish i could remove that dialog but its not virtualhere's dialog. Its coming from android.
You should only need to answer it once for each type of device, and check the save box before clicking OK.

I presume you mean after every reboot? Ignored devices work as intended... Perhaps you're able to create a similar list to ignored which is 'preferred' or auto?

I created a webpage to try to explain what needs to be done https://www.virtualhere.com/android_server_faq
Yes, I was using that page as
Yes, I was using that page as a reference. The difference is that the popup shows up after every restart of the Shield TV and that the name of the USB device isn't shown unlike in the screenshots. Maybe Android TV behaves differently from standard Android OS in this regard?

1. Actually the Shield TV it doesn't say unfortunately, so you just say "Yes"
2. However it *does* remember the setting permanently even after powering off the shield and restarting. There was recently a shield tv 7.2.1 update did you get that? Maybe that fixes the issue
