Problem with Xbox One Wireless Controller Dongle on Android Server

Hello,

I have purchased a Android Server License and I have a problem.

When I use VirtualHere Server on a Nvidia Shield for share a Xbox one wireless controller dongle with a Windows PC, if I suddenly power off the computer or, the most common case, I put the pc to sleep, then when I wake up or power on it, they don't connect, no matter if I reboot the PC. In order to make work it again I should unplug and replug the Dongle on the shield. So, I think the problem is on the server and it seems like when it loses the connection, it leaves the dongle in a broken state internally.

I have tried this scenary several months with the same PC and same dongle but with a VirtualHere linux server and it never happened. So, I think the problem is only with the Android server version.

I have no more info. Thank you.

OK i reproduced the problem and i think i know a solution

1. Under Android Hub->XBox Acc check "Auto-Use device" so that the device will be automatically used after the computer wakes up from sleeping
2. Open Windows Device Manager->View by Connection-> VirtualHere USB 3 eXtensible Host Controller->USB 3.0 Hub. Right click XBox wireless adapter for windows->Properties -> Power Management -> UNcheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" -> OK

See if that solves the problem. Can you let me know if it solves it or not solves your issue.

Hello Michael,

Thanks for your help. I have tried it and still not working but something has changed. Before apply your changes, the only way to make it work again was unplug and replug the xbox dongle. Now, after wake up the computer from sleep mode, the controller doesn't connect, but in the VirtualHere client shows the xbox adapter as used by my computer. Then, in the client, if I try to disconnect the dongle, it doesn't do it. I need to close the vh client and open it again. Then it connects to the vh server using the xbox adapter, and then the controller works fine.
So, now I think the problem is on the vh client. After wake up the computer, it doesn't renew the connection. I am using the latest version.
Thank you.

After waking up, if you stop using the controller then use it again is it ok then (without closing vh)?
