Reading hardware serial from remote USB drive?

hi, I am using security software app Rohos Logon Key (url here: https://www.rohos.com/products/rohos-logon-key/) for Windows which uses USB drive for logon authentication.

Does Virtualhere/CloudHub works if I were to purchase NEXX 3020F and use the attached USB as a remote key to authenticate during Windows login via network (Wifi/LAN)? I am told (by the dev of Rohos) that the USB drive hardware serial needs to be read so in this instance can this be accomplished via Wifi/LAN network?

I think it should work like this

1. Plug the dongle into the NEXX3020F running cloudhub (https://www.virtualhere.com/hardware)
2. Run the VirtualHere client on the pc
3. When you see the CloudHub_xxx listed in the client right click on the dongle and select Use
4. Check the dongle works ok via virtualhere e.g by running the rohos software and checking it sees the key ok.
5. Purchase a license for the virtualhere server https://www.virtualhere.com/purchase
6. Once you have purchased a license you can then run the client as a service by right clicking USB Hubs->Install as Service
7. Start the client again and then right click on the dongle and select "Auto-Use Device"
8. Reboot your pc, now the dongle should be connected before you login and so you should be able to use it (via virtualhere for authentication)

NEXX3020F seems to be out-of-stock for quite some time so I am exploring Android alternative.

Michael... if I were to use my Android mobile phone and install it as a server, can I use the phone internal memory as USB drive or I have to plug in a separate physical USB flash drive to my phone? I would prefer to use the phone internal memory as its a lot easier and space saving, let me know what I need to do if its possible.
