Hello!
I purchased this software through Steam for use with the Android TV version of Steam Link.
Long story short (I've spent hours troubleshooting this and I usually know my way around PCs), I get the "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error with both Xbox 360 Controller and DualShock 4 Controller.
A usb wireless mouse however works (it's a cheap Microsoft wireless mouse, it shows up as MS nano transreceiver or something along those lines).
The most interesting part is that the two controllers give out different error messages.
Xbox 360 Controller actually shows up as an "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" and the full error message in Device Manager is
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API."
The DS4 controller shows up as an USB Composite Device and the error is:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."
Both of the devices work when directly connected to the PC and curiously, like I mentioned earlier, the wireless mouse works through VirtualHere even.
Normally I would troubleshoot my way through such and get things working but this time I am stumped. It would almost seem as if there is something off with the software, but I don't want to rush into conclusions.
Is the Steam version up-to-date?
I know I have an ability to refund but I would much rather get it working and I won't mind helping along the way.
All the best!
.
Unfortunately i think you need to use a separate bluetooth (or microsoft wireless dongle) to connect to the controller. As for some reason directly plugging in microsoft controllers and using via virtualhere on android server usually wont work. If you have a spare usb bluetooth dongle use that via virtualhere and then sync the controllers to that.
